With summer comes lots of celebratory activities from graduations to weddings to church picnics. All fun stuff, and though we don’t want to miss a moment of it, it sure does seem far to easy to stay busy all summer. Which makes the summer go by far too quickly.
Before summer escapes, take time to consider that it’s okay to not go to every, single event. It’s okay to stop and just be once in a while too. Often, actually.
“Be still, and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10)
Right now, with summer just beginning, take a minute to schedule time to just be. Time to sit on the deck and feel the summer breeze. Time to go for a walk. Time to lay in a hammock in the shade. Time to just know that God is God no matter what’s going on in your life.
